Change takes time, dedication and patience. We didn't become the person we are now, overnight. Embracing the darkness that lives within us is part of the process. Spiritual growth comes from self-acceptance and self-love. This includes all of our flaws, insecurities and fears. When you try to pretend that these do not exist, you fight your true path. We cannot omit the broken parts of our soul as these too make us whole.

"When it comes to friendships, I would rather have a handful of diamonds than a bag full of glass."1/18/2017 Friendships sometimes can come and go through our lives like passing seasons. Some may make wonderfully lasting impressions on us while others may leave us with emotional scars. Either way both afford us valuable lessons that can benefit us. Genuine friendship is based on quality not quantity. So I live by the rule that I would rather have a handful of diamonds than a bag full of glass. Like a diamond, treat these with care and admire and acknowledge the beauty they bless upon you. ~love & light ~
Mindy Every day when we decide to take another step forward, we are making the choice to move in the right direction. We sometimes can overwhelm ourselves with various unattainable goals and lose sight of the present moment. When you look too far ahead you can end up sacrificing the small yet notable accomplishments made today. You may think of them as insignificant but in reality they are HUGE. My suggestion is to make small, achievable daily goals that are realistic. Choose the things that will get you closer to the life you want to live and the person you want to be. Always remember that most of us are still learning as we go. One day at a time. A small step in the right direction is better than a leap in the wrong one.
