Take in the simplicity. It's where true joy lies. The kiddie pool you dip your hot feet in while your child runs through the sprinkler. The cold beer you enjoy in the sun around your small family bbq. The way the sun feels on your chest as you lay on a cheap lawn chair on your patio. We don't need tons of money, a big pool, a large yard with a fire pit or an overly abundant salary to enjoy our life. We need perspective. We need an ego less ideal of life's most precious times as they are all fleeting. If money was enough, if materials fulfilled, there wouldn't be so many empty souls out there. Fill it with simple things...the clean air, smell of cut grass, a kiss, a compliment, a prayer. May you all be as blessed as those who figure this out sooner than later. - Mindy Ganz
They say the grass isn't always greener on the other side but you'll never know until you hop the fence. Life is meant to be explored. You are meant to be challenged. You are here to take chances. If you stay in a place out of fear of the unknown, you will never know what could have been. Perhaps the grass isn't much greener on the other side - but maybe it's better taken care of, watered more and given an array of accent flowers. Let me be the first to tell you....the grass is usually greener if you are asking the question, you just need that courage to take the leap.
I've spent a large part of my existence caring about what others think of me. Trying to appear happy when I wasn't just so others felt comfortable. Trying to fit in, when my square box didn't fit into their round peg. Being a people-pleaser became a job description for my life and I always tried my best to impress - even to an unhealthy emotional fault. I've worried for no reason, over thought things that needed no attention and done all I could to salvage the relationships and things that were already lost. In the end, know you've done your part in that chapter, Know you did your best. People will think what they want and do as they please - no matter what you feel is right. It's not your job to change someone else. It's up to us to decide to take the higher road and make the healthier choice for our own happiness. It is not done for their sake, but for ours. Always do your best in all facets of your life and when something no longer serves you....breathe and let it go...with confidence and with grace... Have a thicker skin but remember to keep a tender heart.
